Carol Cook
Carol Cook is Chair of NWP and Principal Lecturer: Assessment, Learning and Teaching at Leeds Metropolitan University Law School.
Carol joined North West Playwrights in November 2006, through Business in the Arts. She spent 6 years working as a solicitor in private practice where she first came across the Business in the arts scheme. Her first placement was The Art House, a membership arts organisation for artists with and without a disability. She remained in the board of the Art House when she left practice to join the Law School at the University of Huddersfield. After 4 years teaching and managing the delivery of professional post-graduate law courses in the private sector she has returned to the public sector and is now a principal lecturer at Leeds Met University, where she has responsibility within the Law School for assessment, learning and teaching issues. She became Chair of NWP in November 2008.
